In this article, we will look at the General Platform Settings where you can set general settings for volume profile, render type, customize notifications and more
When you click on the General settings button, the settings window opens:
Value Area
Value area percentage - this feature sets the size of the value area as a percentage of the total volume for the period in the volume profile
Levels at a time - this parameter affects the accuracy of volume profile display by comparing multiple price levels
Update interval - the frequency of volume profile updates
Common
Continuous Profile Source:
There are 2 settings to choose from:
1. Current contract - the profile will be formed only according to the data of the current contract.
2. All period - the profile will be formed according to the Continuous contract data.
Max Candles Per Chat:
You can select the maximum number of candles that can be displayed on the chart.
Rendering
Renderer Type:
You can select three types of rendering:
1. Direct2D - renders on video card resources.
2. GDI - performs rendering on CPU resources.
3. OpenGLSkia - renders using the video card resources, the OpenGL standard and the Skia graphics library. This type of rendering is necessary for the operation of Liquidity Map in the Dom Levels indicators or in the Dom Trader trading module.
- Show Debug Info:
This feature enables the display of debugging information in all windows.
- Video adapter:
This function is designed to select the video card on which the platform will work.
Database
- Backup Period (days):
This function is used to select after what amount of time (in days) the system does the backup.
- Maximum Store Backups:
This function allows you to select the maximum number of backups that will be stored on your device.
The DOM
Levels Count:
This function serves to limit the number of visible DOM levels. If you want to remove the DOM limit, then set it to 0.
Strategies
Storage time for strategies:
This feature sets the duration (in days) for which trading strategy settings will be stored for a specific account after the settings are last applied.
Notifications
In this section, you can adjust how platform system notifications are displayed, including the number displayed simultaneously on the screen, duration of display, and placement.
